Certain dental procedures, most notably root canal treatment, require the use of an electric (non-air driven) handpieces or drill. The advantages of a rotary handpieces involve the ability to precisely control speed and torque of the handpieces and reduce drill sound. This results in a more accurate and safe procedure with better comfort and results.
