Dr. Ram is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Dentistry at USC since 2006 and is also the Assistant Director of the Orofacial Pain and Oral Medicine Graduate clinic. Dr. Ram received his DDS degree from Chennai, India in 2000. He then attended a 2-year Oral Medicine Training Program in Malaysia and conducted research on Oral Cancer detection using chemiluminescence and toluidine blue. He received his Master's degree from the University of Malaya in 2004. He then attended the Orofacial Pain and Oral Medicine Residency program at USC and received his certificate in 2006. He is board certified in Orofacial Pain and Oral Medicine and is currently pursuing a certificate in ‘Clinical Research Design and Management’ at the USC School of Pharmacy. He is also a member of the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine. Dr. Ram has published over 20 research articles, review articles and book chapters and has lectured nationally and internationally in the area of Orofacial Pain and Oral Medicine. He has received several national and international awards for his research. His current research interests are in sleep apnea and trigeminal neuropathy. In his free time Dr. Ram loves to travel, exercise, and play guitar.
